Abstract. The studies were carried out with the aim of ovulation inducing in young female sables through the use of gonadotropic hormone. In the first series of experiments, during the rutting period, groups of females at the age of two and three years were formed, 200 heads each. Additionally, according to the same experimental design, studies were carried out on adult (four-year-old) individuals. In the second series of experiments, the experimental animals were represented by two groups of 20 females, unbred during the economic terms of the rut (July 1-31). For them, pairing continued in August. Mating was carried out in the presence of a loop in stage III and confirmation of a smear in the oestrus stage of the female. On the day of mating, the animals of all experiments were injected once intramuscularly with chorionic gonadotropin at a dose of 50 units, animals that did not receive the drug served as controls. Among the two-year-old females that were stimulated after mating, there was 16.3% more puppies than in the control group, among the three-year-olds the difference was 17.9%. The output of puppies in both groups statistically significantly (p<0.01) increased by 0.4 animals. In the group where the stimulation was hormonal, 80% of the females came to hunt. Of these, 81.2% of females whelped. Fertility per bred female stimulated with gonadotropin was 1.7 heads, which was 41.2% higher than in the control. In adult females, the number of whelping animals among those treated on the day of mating with chorionic gonadotropin slightly (by 4%) exceeded the results of the control group, and the yield of puppies was 0.7 heads (p<0.05) lower. The duration of the rut in young sables was longer than in adults. Its extension in combination with hormonal stimulation made it possible to increase the number of whelping females up to 65%, the yield of puppies per bred female – by 41.2%.
