AGROCLIMATIC RESOURCES OF BELGOROD REGION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY

Summary. The analysis of the changes in the complex of meteorological factors, determined agrocenosis productivity, was carried out. The duration of the vegetative period with the average daily temperature above 5 degrees increased on 5-7 days during 1980-2010. During the period from 1971 to 2014 the statistically significant positive trend of the studied parameter was noted (with the coefficient of the linear trend of 0.4). The mean air temperature of the summer period at the beginning of the 21st century increased, and, as a result, the agroclimatic zonation was changed in Belgorod region. At the beginning of new millennium the first agroclimatic region disappeared and was replaced by the second region, in place of which the third region appeared. The possibility of cultivation of more southern varieties and cultures appeared in the territory of Belgorod region. The annual sum of rainfall increased in the region by 15%. Most actively humidification changed since the 1970s. But the change in the character of precipitations and predominance of showery rains in comparison with continuous ones forms the differently directed tendencies of moisture conditions of the territory during vegetation period; and the probability of atmospheric and soil drought increases. The happening climatic changes led to an increase in the bioclimatic potential of the territory (from 1.81 to 1.85) that in general is positive for the agro-industrial complex. At the same time, the growth of the bioclimatic potential is against the background of reduction of moistening by 10%. The observed increase in drought with an active growth of temperatures during summer period can further lead to the opposite tendency of reduction of the bioclimatic potential of the territory. During the modern period, the probability of dangerous to agriculture hydrometeorological phenomena for all seasons of the year increases.
