Summary. The investigations were carried out in 2005-2007 to identify the regularities of influence of silicon-containing materials and various types of organic fertilizers on the amount of mobile forms of heavy metals in soil and their accumulation in grain of winter wheat. The influence of fertilizers, applied equivalently 25 or 50 t/ha of manure, were evaluated in the experimental field of the Ulyanovsk Research Institute of Agriculture in 7-field grain-fallow crop rotation: bare fallow, winter wheat, spring wheat, pea, winter wheat, spring wheat, barley. The scheme of fertilizer application in the crop rotation: without fertilizers (the control); N140P95K175; manure 25 t/ha; manure 50 t/ha; sewage sludge 12.5 t/ha; sewage sludge 25 t/ha; vetch-oat mixture; straw 5 t/ha; diatomite 5 t/ha (the background); the background + N140P95K175; the background + manure 25 t/ha; the background + manure 50 t/ha; the background + sewage sludge 12.5 t/ha; the background + sewage sludge 25 t/ha; the background + vetch-oat mixture; the background + straw 5 t/ha. The Kharkovskaya 92 variety of winter wheat was cultivated. The soil of the test plot are leached chernozem, the content of humus is 5,59-6,35%, mobile forms of phosphorus 202-258 and exchange potassium 96-130 mg/kg (according to Chirikov), pH = 6.6, hydrolytic acidity is 1.4 meq/100 g of soil. The use of different types of organic fertilizers against the background of diatomite reduces the content of mobile forms of heavy metals and their accumulation in grain of winter wheat. Under the influence of diatomite it is reduced the accumulation of zinc by 21%, copper–by 19%, lead–by 33%, cadmium–by 44%, and nickel–by 23% in the grain.

Keywords: organic fertilizers, heavy metals, diatomite.
