EFFICIENCY OF NEW ORGANIC AND MINERAL COMPLEX GEOTON ON SEED POTATO

Summary. The paper presents the evaluation results and substantiates the necessity of application of new biologically active organic and mineral complex Geoton. This is biologically active substance and an organic fertilizer at the same time, which contains 9…14 % of nitrogen (N), 23…25 % of phosphorus (P2O5), 23…29 % of potassium (K2O) and 9…12 % of potassium humate. The aim of the investigation was to evaluate the influence of Geoton on productivity of seed potatoes. The work was carried out in Kaluga region in 2011-2014 in accordance with conventional methods. The soil of test plot was grey forest medium loamy soil. Humus content according to the Tyurin method was 2.6…2.7 %; pH of salt extract was 5.7; the content of mobile phosphorus and exchange potassium (according to the Kirsanov method) was 22…25 and 16…17 mg/100 g soil, respectively. The experiment scheme included the following variants: application of fertilizers in recommended doses N90P110K140 (the background fertilization) – it was a control; the background doses with preplant treatment of tubers by Geoton at a dose of 250 ml of source solution per 10 l of water per 1 t of seeds; the background fertilizer doses with twice spraying of plants by Geoton (full germination, budding) at the dose of 1 l/ha (flow rate was 300 l/ha). The spraying of vegetating plants twice during the season - on shoots and at the budding stage made it possible to raise the yield by 2.9 t/ha and increase the quantitative yield of tubers of seed fractions by 70 thousand pieces per a hectare. This is higher than the control variant by 12.9 % and 26 %, respectively. The use of Geoton makes it possible to increase the profitability of production by 24 % and reduce the production price by 19 %.
